Avoid Flash and electronic tricks
Direct marketing experience tells us we must not impede the progress of potential customers when they visit client websites. So we were delighted to read the following from an article in Direct Marketing International: 'A warning to webmasters. Learn the lesson direct marketers learned generations ago: quit thinking in terms of Flash and electronic tricks and start thinking of ways to grab and shake surfers who land on your site. I doubt webmasters will pay much attention. After all the proper business objective of a website, to attract and hold the surfer, isn't their own business objective. Theirs is to create samples they can show to other potential clients.'
